Our story

A reputation earned by honesty and hard work

“Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds; for riches do not endure forever…”Proverbs 27:23–24

At Sharpe Diamond Cattle Company, stewardship is not a slogan. It is the daily work. Good cattle begin with careful attention to the land, the herd, and the people who depend on both. This is the foundation we build on.

The herd

Four breeds, one standard

Sharpe Diamond brand: an S inside a tall diamond

Every animal we raise carries the Sharpe Diamond brand, registered in Freestone County. When our brand is on a cow, steer, or bull, our name and our reputation are on it too. That brand is our promise of quality and integrity.

Know exactly where your beef comes from. We raise your steer here on pasture, finish it on our own grain ration, and handle everything through to the processor, including the cut sheet.

A $500 deposit holds your steer. Use our calculator to see the cost, how much beef you take home, and how it compares to the grocery store.

Lease your land to a working cattle ranch

Own pasture or hay meadow within about 30 miles of Teague that you are not using? Sharpe Diamond Cattle Co. is growing, and we lease land for grazing and hay. We care for your property as if it were our own, and keeping your land in agricultural production can help you keep, or qualify for, your agricultural tax exemption.

Weekend place or investment property? A grazing or hay lease puts it to work while you are away.
